Every single coffee farm yields beans that have specific, innate taste notes that can only be exhibited when roasted correctly, and thatʼs what weʼre after. Itʼs the perfect combination of science+art that fuses ethical trading standards and quality bean sourcing, resulting in a precise cup.

About Roasting:

Through direct relationships with farms and tirelessly sample roasting other imports we keep our standards high for green beans. Organic practices and ethical trading allow us to have a direct impact on both coffee growers and the environment. Because of the time and money involved in sourcing, we will not bulk roast any coffees we bring in. Each coffee is hand crafted by roasting batches under twenty pounds and by cupping to ensure the correct visuals, aromatics, and tastes of all beans. This can not be replicated on any large scale. Period. Regardless of what other roasters or companies say.


About the Cafe:

Onyx Coffee Lab is all about putting belief into practice. Set on the East side of Springdale, Arkansas, itʼs a passion project from owners Jon and Andrea. Onyx is a conception of modern Ozark design and seed-to-cup coffee preparation. Education plays a huge role in Onyx Coffee Lab. We strive to let the customer experience all aspects of the coffee world through weekly cuppings, brewing classes, a home roasters association, and knowledgeable, friendly baristas.
